Vibrational Astrology is an advanced and evidence-based astrology, that has been the culmination of over 50 years of research by my Teacher, David Cochrane. While Vibrational Astrologers are continuing to conduct science based research studies to confirm various aspects of astrological beliefs, a solid base of astrological understanding has already been confirmed. Vibrational Astrology leans heavily into the use of harmonic charts (which can also be called vibrational charts), which are derivatives of the base natal chart, but looked at in much greater depth, from a particular aspect. Each vibrational chart comes from a division of the natal chart, be it a 1/5th division, which would be the 5th vibrational chart. Or the 1/7th divsion is the 7th vibrational chart. The 1/9 division is...you guessed it, the 9th vibrational chart. Every division of the 360 degree chart holds within it a particular resonance or frequency. The 5 vibe is a very playful, creative and fun energy. The 7th vibration is a quiet, focused, potentially meditative frequency. The 9th vibration is related to how we feel within our community.
The vibrational charts go up into the hundreds (or even potentially thousands, though more research is needed to understand some of the higher vibrational numbers). Can you imagine how useful it is to be able to look at the natal chart with the ability to see patterns (planetary aspects) that would be impossible to see by just looking at the natal chart? It's an incredible advancement in the science (yes, science) of astrology.
Another lesser used technique that we use in Vibrational Astrology is midpoints. Midpoints are an extremely potent and often overlooked point in astrology. Midpoints are actually more potent that planets on their own, as the midpoint combines the potency of two planets, rather than the energy of just one. Add a third planet to the two planet midpoint, and you have what is called a Midpoint Structure, the combining the potency of three planets. You can take this even further, when you find a less common but very powerful midpoint to midpoint conjunction or opposition (we also call them an isotrap), creating a four planet unbroken circuit of energy, which functions in a harmonious way within the person who is lucky enough to have this pattern in their chart. With this incredible, cutting-edge type of astrology, we are able to use these charts to dig deep into a person's deeper needs, motivations, talents and skills. We can use Vibrational astrology for synastry or relationship astrology, forecasting (prediction), for astro cartography, and horary (creating a chart from a question and finding the answer within that newly made chart).
